Just a Reminder: The church will be meeting on Sunday morning and we ask that you keep that in mind during your time at the church. Remember to replace chairs, pick up trash, and replace tables, etc., when your workshop is completed. Thank You

The Indian Territory Dulcimer Celebration meets the third Saturday of the month at Yale Avenue Christian Church, 36th & Yale, Tulsa , 6:00 pm.

Celtic Music Session and Celtic Heritage festival meeting. Every 2nd and 4th Friday, Best Western Motel atrium, Stillwater , 600 E. McElroy Rd , corner of Perkins Rd and McElroy Rd. Drive into town and cross the railroad to find Perkins and then go left, North.

This meeting and session is planning the Centennial Event-Celtic Music and Heritage Festival slatted for June 16 & 17, 2007. The session welcomes musicians and friends from Stillwater , OKC, Tulsa and the surrounding area. This is a smoke-free, kid friendly session. Meeting at 6:00 pm, session at 7:00-10:00 pm. NOTE: Special meetings are now being undertaken as time draws near. Consult the celtic-oklahoma yahoo group for best info.


Instrument Swap and Sale , Be sure to look for the instrument Swap & Sale table at the monthly meeting. Guidelines for operation will be posted. This is a service for our members, please use in good will.


Oklahoma Accordion Club, meets the 2nd Sunday of each month, 3:30 – 5:30 pm, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3500 N. Meridian Av, Okla City . Contact: Jackie Mashore, 399-3555, jacmash@tds.net. Recently formed orchestra meets 2:30 – 3:30 pm.

FESTIVALS AND ACTIVITIES

Oklahoma International Bluegrass Festival 2007October 4, 5, & 6. 3-day pass $70, at the gate $85. International guests: Kruger Brothers-Switzerland, Beppe Gambetta-Italy, Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas-Scotland, The Siekers-Germany, Country Cocktail-Czech Republic. The festival will be featuring Oklahoma bands all day Thursday, Oct 4 in celebration of the Oklahoma Centennial. Www.oibf.com for more info and to buy tickets. Heritage Hills Home Tours, at the Overholser Mansion, 15th and Hudson. Volunteer musicians wanted to perform period music, period dress encouraged. Saturday and Sunday October 13 & 14, 12 noon – 5:00 pm both days. This home tour is a fund raiser to maintain and improve various historic neighborhoods. Bill Barwick House Concert w/ Steve McCartney-Bass: Monday, Oct 15, 7:00 pm. At home of McMurray’s, 2715 Aspen Circle, Norman. $12.00 donation suggested per person. Seating is limited, send your donation in advance to hold your space. Directions: from I-35 go East on Hwy 9, turn left at Imhoff (3rd stoplight), left again at first left-Poplar, left again at Aspen Lane and right on Aspen Circle.

"Once in a Blue Moon" Fall Festival: Arcadia, Oklahoma, Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch, take Exit 141, Route 66 from I-35 and go East 10 miles to Hiawassee Road, go right-South, 1 mile and turn left at 2nd Street, look for the big orange pumpkin sign. Petting zoo, chili supper available, pumpkin patch, native pecans, home-grown produce and hay rides. Activities start at 5:00 pm and Mountain Smoke plays in the barn at 7:00 pm.

O'Flaherty Irish Music Retreat October 26-28, 2007. Hoblitzelle Camp & Conference Center, Midlothian, Texas (30 min South of Dallas).
